Know Who's Storing Your Boat

Not All Storage Is Storage.

Every fall, boats get parked in open fields by operators who won't answer the phone in January. Here's the difference before you hand over the keys.

Fly-By-Night Lots
Northern Lakes Boat Co
Open field, uncovered
Concrete-floor indoor barns
No cameras, no fencing
Fully fenced, cameras on every gate
Insurance? Unclear.
Fully insured, in writing

I’ve used three storage yards over the years. First one with actual cameras and a fence.

Tom B. Bellaire Google

Booked late in the season and they still fit me in. Boat was safe and dry all winter.

Lisa M. Central Lake Google

Matt’s crew treated my boat better than I do. Fogged, flushed, wrapped tight — zero issues come spring.

Karen S. Elk Rapids Google

Straightforward pricing. No surprise fees in spring — exactly what they quoted in the fall.

Rick H. Kewadin Google

Veteran-owned and it shows — organized, on time, no excuses.

Who’s Behind The Wheel

Built By Hand. Run By One Guy Who Answers His Phone.

Matt spent years on the water as a USCG-licensed captain before he started Northern Lakes Boat Co. He got tired of watching boat owners hand their boats over to open fields with no fence, no cameras, and no one to call in January.

So he built his own facility — poured the concrete, framed the barns, ran the wiring. He's still the one who answers when you call, and still the one walking the lot every day your boat is in it.

Questions

Before You Call

As soon as you can. Storage is first-come, first-served, and the building typically fills before the first hard freeze. Call now and we’ll get your haul-out date on the schedule before the rush.

We haul your boat out, winterize the engine (fog, flush, and antifreeze), shrink-wrap it, and move it into secure indoor storage. Then in spring, we reach out again to schedule your relaunch. One call starts the whole process — you don’t coordinate separate vendors.

It’s stored inside a fenced, camera-monitored, concrete-floor barn — not an open field. The facility is fully insured, and Matt, a USCG-licensed captain, personally oversees the lot every day your boat is in it.
